The Environmental Costs Of Overpaid Baseball Players

In the ninteenth century, Abner Doubleday invented baseball. At that same time, there existed in the wilds of India app. 200,000 Bengal Tigers. Yesterday, the newspaper carried an article about Yankee Alex Rodriguez wanting $ 350 million to stay with the New York team. In that same paper was a tiny article about the fact only 1500 Bengal Tigers lived in what's left of India's refuges.

So what's the connection? The metaphysics of our earth is zero sum. I.E. the creation/transformation of earthly resources necessarily result in the destruction/modification of another resource. Therefore the overpaid "A-Rod"who is watched by Yankee fans has been in some part been paid by the disappearance of Bengal Tigers. The wealth of India's wildlife was turned into cash which is fungible in the worlds currencies markets to pay for goods and services which includes " A-Rod's" salary.
