Power Brings Out The Best And The Worst In People

In 1964 Martin Luther King Jr. won the Nobel Peace Prize for his powerful, successful,  non-violent leading of the civil rights movement in America. In 2009 Barack Obama, who is the first Africa-American president, won the Nobel Peace Prize whilst expanding the Afghanistan war.

King, a minority, non-violent leader, set up the opportunity for Obama, a minority to become president. And what did the first minority president do? He took the unprecedented power and became like the majority of greedy presidents who project increasing arrogance. King would disapprove.

Caught In An Unreal Reality

Help! It's March 11, 2009 and the usual dump of unreal news that conflicts with how things really are continues unabated.

Example #1: George W. Bush's publicists announced the former president is about to launch a "lucrative speaking tour". Say what? The moron who couldn't speak cogently about anything save trash talk will be paid 6 figures by private assemblies. The real morons are in the audience.

Example #2: President Barack Obama wants to spend more money on education. Never mind that the U.S. has spent more money on education for a longer period of time than any other country in history. In spite of this money dump our students rank in the lowest percentiles ever since the intergration of schools back in the 1960s. How about paying the would be parents of these dunces not to have children and thereby unclog our school system of statistically proven unwanted and untalented children for a fraction of the cost of trying to educate them ?

Example #3: The U.N. has admitted defeat in its latest 10 year plan to discouarge illegal drug trafficking. Yet in the same breath it anounced a new 10 year plan . People have had a word for drugs long before the words United Nations. What's that tell you?

And what will tommorow bring? Never mind. Stick to the truth and sooner or later they will see it your way.

Ponzi Scheme Is Similar To Democracy Scheme

Ponzi Scheme :

An investment swindle in which high profits are promised from fictitous sources and early investors are paid off with funds raised from later ones.

Democracy Scheme:

A political/social swindle in which unearned rights are promised to early voters and sourced from earlier earners.

We are not all equal. We are known by our differences.

Prop 8 :Homosexual Activists And Hate Crimes

Why do they call homosexuals gay? They can be as hateful as anyone else. For instance this passed Sunday in the San Francisco Bay Area, homosexual protesters verbally harassed Mormon church goers. The homosexuals were venting their hate on the Mormons who were among other diverse groups who voted for the successful passage of Propostion 8. That California state propostion limits marriage to only a man and a woman.

According to recent newspaper reports, homosexuals activists across the country are planning protests and civil disobedience because of the passage of Prop. 8. They liken their political cause to the civil rights movement of the 1960s. I don't think so. Codified segregation of the blacks was illegal. Whereas same sex marriage prohibition follows cultural norms recorded in documented history. Otherwise, " What's next?"

Hate crime legislation wasn't around in the 1960s. Hate crime fines and punishment exponentials didn't show up till the 1980s. So these civil disobedience and verbal harrassments and all that will follow can lead to hate crime super punishments for the rowdy and hateful homosexuals.

Barack Obama & Hispanic Voters: What's The Problem ?

It is no secret that Barack Obama will have a tough time getting the Latino's vote. California, Arizona, New York and others are key electoral states that he needs. What's the problem between blacks in general and Hispanics ?

Could it be that Hispanics are in America in large numbers because they are doing jobs that blacks wouldn't or couldn't do ? For any good the civil rights movement accomplished, further disconnecting responsibility from rights wasn't one of them. Hispanics value workers .

Pity The Jena Six: They Don't Know Any Better

What's the difference legally between the symbolic display of noose on a school campus tree and attempted murder? While you ponder, add what you think the puishment should be for either.

The Jena Six African-Americans think that beating one white boy unconscious and leaving him possibly dead is a justifiable retaliation for the symbolic nooses being displayed. The Six have much support in the African American community and also whites who feel guilty for whatever reason.

Times up.You should have arriveed at an answer. New question: What has the Civil Rights movement done to improve critical thinking and race relations in America?

Barack Obama: Outsider?

Barack Obama will run for the U.S. presidency. The civil rights movement policies guarnteed that in the end an African-American would finally get a chance. But will it also ironically coincide with an end to the civil rights movement? Has America's guilt been expurgated?

Obama is certainly pleasant and at ease in speaking. He smiles and is witty. In these mannerisms he is unlike his competition. But what are his policies? And what methods will he use to achieve those policies fulfillment? Will they be market-oriented solutions or government-mandated? He's running as an outsider. But his backround says no. He was an attorney and a politician. Both professions suceed only on redistributuion of wealth which defines insider politics.

Obama might win. He has the attributes and postioning of 2 former presidents. He's as telegenic as Reagan. And he's in the same postion tactically as Carter. Carter caught American in the rebound fromNixon/Watergate.

But will all this make him a good president? I suspect that Washington will change him more than he will change Washington.

Progressives In San Francisco?

What's a progressive by San Francisco standards? The new president of S.F.'s Board of Education is called a progressive. He is Mark Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez is a homaosexual, latino, socialist mix who favors more African-American remedial help. He also favors a proactive homosexual orientation for any children that are toying with the ideas of an alternative lifestyle. This is progressive? It's more like a virulent distillation of failed mutant parts of the Civil Rights Acts that we all have suffered through these past 40 plus years.

What does S.F. need to do to be called truly progressive? How about not dragging down the general school population to the level and advancement of chronic laggards in the classrooms, no matter what race. Those underacheivers should be segregated among their peers. Also homosexual orientation and counseling is more appropiately administered by health care workers. They can better inform and guide juvenile minds about the serious health issues associated with that life choice.

Now that would be progressive.
